Resolution 1: File the error of hosts file
The user can follow the below steps to fix the error if using Windows vista, 8, and 7:
Step 1: First the user needs to open the Administrator notepad
  • Go into the start menu
  • Write notepad in the search column
  • Right-click on it from the list
  • Right tick on list option and choose the Run as Administrator
Step 2: Go into the host's file
  • Choose the file and open it on the system
  • The user needs to change the file name (*.txt) to All files (*.*)
  • Here they require selecting the given link
  • Change the save and tick on the ignore
  • Now the user needs to restart the system and check the error.
If user is using Windows XP, user can try these given resolution steps to fix the error:
  • The user can use the chosen starting windows and restart the PC.
  • Now they can uninstall the Sage software

  • Right tick on the system and tick on the properties
  • Choose the advanced tab and tick on the Environment Variables

Resolution 2:
  • First, shut down the connection manager and check the configurations and security logs and again event viewer.
  • If the user has recently installed Sage 50, ensure to check that the connection manager on the server is version 3.0.
  • Double tick on the Sage 50 Accounting connection manager properties icon on the right-hand corner of the taskbar on the PC.
Resolution 3:
  • Go through the Control Panel- Device Manager - Network Adapters then double tick on their network adaptor.
  • Tick on the Power Management tab
  • Ensure this is done on all computers. Deselect allow the PC to turn off this device for the same power.
Resolution 4: Run as Administrator
  • Right tick on the shortcut icon for software
  • Tick on the Properties and tick on the Compatibility tab
  • Tick mark on the box for Privilege Level, run this program as an administrator
Resolution 5:
  • Go into Windows Explorer and visit the location of the data
  • Make a new folder directly under the C: drive
  • A welcome screen will open on the system
  • Select the existing company
  • Follow the given instruction to fix the error.
Resolution 6:
  • Make sure the Documents folder of the system with the error message has proper security permissions on the folder
